NVQ Level 3 Agricultural Service Engineering
1 day per week for 1 year or block release (i.e 1 week in 7)
Entry Requirements:
Normal entry requirements for the course are an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification and employment at a suitable technical/supervisory level for this qualification
The Course:
The course is aimed at those who have completed NVQ Level 2 or who are employed and want to have their skills recognised. A large part of the work is based on diagnostic and supervisory skills which are increasing in importance in this demanding job.
Course Content:
Use of electronic diagnostics, electro hydraulics, on-board computer systems, customer care, working relations, health and safety, mechanical theory, workshop practice, diagnostics, machinery operation, engineering principles, draughting and design, information technology and key skills.
Progression:
Higher education. Specialist Short course training Membership of the Institution of Agricultural Engineers.
Equipment Required:
Steel toe-capped boots, boiler suit and writing materials.
Financial Information:
16 – 18 Year Old Students – if you are aged between 16 and 18 on 31st August 2007 and have been resident in the UK for the last three years you do not have to pay tuition or examination fees.
19-24 Year Old Students without a Full Level 3 Qualification - if you are aged 19 to 24, do not have a full level 3 qualification, have been resident in the UK for the last three years and complete the form confirming your qualification status you do not have to pay tuition or exam fees.
Students aged 25 and over will be required to pay the tuition and exam fees for the course, as listed below.
The current tuition/course fees are £469, with £115 examination fee. If you are required to pay, ALL course related tuition and examination fees for this course are payable at the time of enrolment by cash, cheque or credit/debit card.
