Access to Higher Education in Landbased Industry

Duration: 1 year full-time course, 3 days per week designed for individuals returning to study.

Entry Requirements: By interview or Level 2 qualification.

The Course: The landbased programme allows learners to develop skills and vocational knowledge in this sector, including generic subjects such as: Science, Business and ICT.

This allows a taster approach to a wide variety of industries. Learners have the opportunity to study two units of their choice from:

• Ecology and Conservation
  
• Horticulture
  
• Agriculture
  
• Landscape Design
  
• Equestrian
  
• Animal Science and Welfare
  
• Land-Based Technology
  
• Sustainability.

Progression: Foundation Degree or Employment/Self-employment

Financial Information:
For mature students, the tuition fee is £1178.00 per year. Help with fees up to the full cost of the course may be available through fee remission for benefits and if the course is your first Level 3 qualification.  For further information regarding funding please speak to the Student Information Centre staff on 01603 731232.
