Practical Bee-keeping

Duration:
One evening per week for 8 evening sessions

No formal entry requirements.

The Course:
This course has been run at Easton College for a number of years.  It has proved of value to those who are contemplating bee-keeping as well as those who might have just started.

Course Content:
The course will run in the College Apiary.  It is envisaged that it will be possible for groups of students to follow and monitor the progress of particular hives throughout the course.

Progression:
Candidates can progress onto other Bee-keeping courses.

Equipment Required: Students should bring their own veils.  Please see the information below:

Gloves if required will be provided. If you would like to bring your own there is no need to buy expensive beekeeping gloves - Marigolds work just as well for a fraction of the cost and can be disposed off with a clear conscience when they get too fouled up!
