School Farm Visits

Farm and countryside visits for all ages: EYFS through to Key Stage 4

Visit a real farm.
Give your class an opportunity to experience the countryside and kick their senses into action:seeing, listening, smelling, observing, recording, enjoying!
Discover where our food comes from – and so much more!
A farm and countryside visit can provide a resource for learning across the curriculum, for example maths, language, science, geography, history, drama, RE and music as well as PSHE and citizenship.

 

Easton College School Day Visits Programme 2012

As well as providing the teaching resources for Easton College’s own learners the college farm, horticulture unit, estate and campus and are available for day visit groups during college term time.  A programme of specially tailored visits is offered and there are dedicated facilities for school day visit groups.

All visits must be booked in advance.

Easton College Farm is accredited for school visits by Access To Farms   and holds the Learning Outside The Classroom Quality Badge   

Norfolk Farm Education Link (NFEL)

NFEL is a voluntary organisation, now based at Easton College, which supports school-farm links in Norfolk through:

1  Arranging transport grants for visits to working farms (with the Clan Trust)

2  Providing a list of farms in Norfolk that welcome school groups.
